Chateauform's story

Chateauform is a chain of seminar hotels that caters to all types of corporate meetings. All of their hotels are renovated and converted from charming middle-age castles across Europe. As a fast growing company, Chateauform opens a number of new hotels every year and is looking to cut down its renovation and decoration cost by sourcing from China.

First attempt: Chateauform went to online directories of Chinese factories. They placed sample orders based on the pictures on websites. The result was disastrous. Not only did nothing arrived on time, what arrived was nothing like what was shown on the website.

Second attempt: Chateauform found a French intermediary to help them source from China. The intermediary had relations with reputable factories in China, so the quality issue was mostly solved. However, Chateauform felt they were not able to obtain timely updates on the production and they could not order customized products.

Finally, Chateauform came to us. With a set of rigorous processes and a team that is based in China, ChinaFurnitureFixture is able to provide flexibility to fulfill customized request in addition to quality core services.

• Undecided about the exact toilet paper holder to use, Chateauform told ChinaFurnitureFixture to propose some product designs to choose from. Not satisfied with the variety that can be provided by its existing factory-base, ChinaFurnitureFixture began a new search, visiting 10s of toilet paper holder factories and qualified 2 of them.
• The design team at Chateauform envisioned an unique basin design. They sent ChinaFurnitureFixture a very rough sketch. With that, ChinaFurnitureFixture went factory hunting and found 3 factories who made similar products before.
• Delivery time is extremely important to Chateauform because hotel opening dates are fixed with advanced reservations already taken. ChinaFurnitureFixture understands that. On one particular order, products from 8 factories were to be shipped together, but ChinaFurnitureFixture discovered that one soap dispenser manufacturer would not be able to deliver on time 30 soap dispensers. Immediately ChinaFurnitureFixture negotiated with the manufacturer who agreed to ship the soap dispensers separately via air mail at manufacturers' expense.
